Dr. Cindy Bloomfield, PhD

After earning her Bachelor’s Degree of Education in Exercise Science and Wellness, Cindy went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Auburn University in Exercise Physiology and is all-but-dissertation for a PhD in Exercise Physiology from Auburn University. She is a Board- Certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, and is certified in Pediatric Obesity Programs, through Shapedown, a national weight management and weight loss program for overweight/obese children, teens and their families. Cindy holds a PhD and doctorate in natural medicine from the International Quantum University of Integrative Medicine in Honolulu, HI.

Cindy taught health, nutrition, and CPR full-time at several colleges and universities for six years before making a career change to more holistic health-oriented opportunities after becoming disillusioned with our current health care system following the loss of her twin sister, multiple friends and family members to cancer and various autoimmune or preventable diseases and after watching her youngest daughter struggle with multiple health problems for which traditional medicine had no answer. 

Cindy currently works as an integrative medicine practitioner at a health clinic and teaches college full time. She teaches a variety of courses ranging from nutrition and medical terminology to holistic health sciences, holistic nutrition, and various leadership courses for schools of health sciences. She develops courses for health sciences for several colleges and universities and co-authored an open source nutrition textbook for colleges and universities.
