The Solar Plexus Chakra
Your third chakra, the Navel or Solar Plexus chakra, can be thought of as an orb of vibrant yellow light rotating along the spine between the belly button and the heart.
The navel chakra is called Manipura, which translates to “lustrous gem.” With related mental concepts such as power, self-control, joy, pride, unworthiness, resentment, determination, and peace, this energy center is the seat of your self-worth.
The Navel chakra’s element is Fire, the force that causes energy to change form, such as the conversion of wood into heat and, significantly, the conversion of food into energy used to nourish and sustain the body. Physically, this chakra is related to the stomach, spleen, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, and small intestine.
It is also heavily correlated with the gut flora and gastrointestinal tract microbiome. When this fiery chakra is unbalanced, the physical body can develop gastric ulcers, diabetes, IBS, and other problems with digestion.
When clean and balanced, like a brilliant star in the abdomen, this chakra will result in courage, determination, healthy digestion, strong metabolism, and unshakable self-worthiness.
