The Crown Chakra
The seventh and final chakra, the Crown chakra, called Sahasrara, is Sanskrit for “thousand petaled.”
This violet orb is seated at the top of the skull, gracefully rotating and connecting our human bodies to a field or pure universal intelligence. Considered as the seat of pure consciousness, the Crown chakra correlates with the neocortex, pineal gland, and the thalamic gate.
An unbalanced Crown chakra is associated with many mental disorders and depression. When balanced and open, the Crown chakra serves as the bridge into a field of pure being, happiness, and enlightenment.
