Why Choose a Career in Integrative Medicine?

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine recently reported that approximately 38 percent of adults in the United States are using some form of complementary or alternative medicine (CAM)

Many people today recognize the limitations of Western medicine. No longer do they rush to a doctor at the first sniffle, ache or pain. They seek more health options. What used to be considered “alternative” is now becoming mainstream and sought after. Rates of chronic disease, obesity, stress and anxiety are higher than ever before. People are stressed out, overwhelmed and unhealthy. They are also living longer and seeking greater quality of life as they age. There is an unprecedented interest in wellness.

Holistic health careers are in demand and can be very rewarding. People who aspire to a career which helps others and makes a difference in their life are turning to holistic and integrative health.

The growth in alternative medicine is not just an American phenomenon but a global one with projected market spending to soar to $196.87 Billion by the year 2025.

From 2013-2015, the Complementary & Alternative Medicine Industry pulled in $186.7 billion – $199 billion globally.
Nearly 30% of the American population seeks alternative medicine for treatment and prevention of a variety of disorders.

Traditional healthcare is largely centered around services and prescription pharmaceuticals that are provided to people after they contract an illness, ranging from a common cold to cancerous tumors. Traditional allopathic medicine seeks to treat symptoms or remove disease without first looking at what has caused this illness or disease in the first place.

Alternative Medicine is more centered on products and services provided to moderately healthy people without disease to make them feel even healthier and look better, to slow the effects of aging, reduce stress or to prevent disease from developing in the first place.

Integrative or Pro-Consciousness medicine takes this approach further by using the emerging knowledge of Neuroscience, Neurocardiology, Epigenetics and Quantum Biology combined with holistic medical treatment to help patients overcome all types of illness and disease and to improve overall health and well-being.

As the market continues to grow for alternative healing modalities to be more accessible, our curriculum continues to expand, allowing for a practitioner to continue their education and further their knowledge of all aspects of integrative medicine.

Yes!

Dissatisfaction with the current state of health care is on the rise, driving more and more people to seek safe and effective alternatives to traditional medicine.

The future of medicine is here now and the alternative medicine industry will continue to grow bigger as more people are trained to become integrative medicine practitioners and introduce integrative healing modalities that someone can use to improve their health.
