Taoist Medicine

COURSE DETAILS

Presenter: Dr. Paul Drouin, M.D.
Duration: 85 Hours
Registration Fee: $800

Taoist Medicine is one of the most ancient systems of Oriental Medicine for understanding and affecting the movement of subtle energies within the body that are influenced by the mind and body connection. Traditional acupuncture refers to an energetic anatomy, described as the meridians and the Law of Five Elements to explain how this invisible mechanism works. Today quantum physics proposes a theoretical model defined through, downward causation, to explain what is actually a non-local phenomenon.  Consciousness, an infinite field of potential information, being the origin of a subtle anatomy, proposes that the vital body relates to these subtle energies as morphogenetic fields. This course brings together the ancient and reliable system of Taoist Medicine and the modern contributions of quantum physics in an intelligible and practical model.

In this course students will learn ways the ancient science of Taoist Medicine can be applied to various modalities in alternative medicine. The key to making available a renewable source of infinite energy is the use, application, and refinement of the art of working with the “Marvelous Vessels.” This ancient system, one of the most powerful of all, and a long held secret, correlates the “Marvelous Vessels” with their emanation the “Kouas”.  In this lesson students will be presented with practical techniques to locate the acupuncture points that access the Marvelous Vessels and recharge the Kouas to maintain or restore balance.

Course Topics

I. Taoist Medicine and Acupuncture

II. Marvelous Vessels and Kouas

III. Energy Flow and the Elements

IV. Summer

V. Late Summer and Autumn

VI. Winter and Spring

VII. Acupuncture Points

VIII. Omega Technique

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Describe the bridge between modern acupuncture and the ancient healing model of Taoist medicine, through the theoretical model of consciousness based on quantum physics.
  2. Identify the components of the subtle energetic anatomy, in terms of quantum and Taoist medicine.
  3. Hypothesize how  the specific acupuncture points that give access to the marvelous vessels, Kouas, and their related organs allow us  to address the roots of energetic imbalances and can be used to to manage, balance, and restore the Rainbow Body and access an infinite source of healing.
  4. Going through the cycle of seasons, analyze and refine the movement of subtle energy, using the five elements as a blueprint, to explore the spectrum of higher emotions regarding their actualization.
  5. Defend the biochemical basis for awareness and consciousness that provides a scientific explanation for how our thoughts and emotions affect our health (now known as psychoneuroimmunology), according to neuroscientist Dr. Candace Pert.
  6. Demonstrate a practical technique for training acupuncture points that access the marvelous vessels and recharge the Kouas in order to maintain or restore balance.
